Gotcha! Number three in my top5 of cuddly Aussie creatures: the possum. Well, admittedly, it's a really bad picture.


I will be leaving on a 10 day road trip through the Queensland outback tomorrow. So, no postings for a while.

After I had spent several days in my room, trying to finish the first draft of my dissertation, I needed to renew my bond with Mother Nature. And still...

No sooner said than done! What could be more down to earth than a solid brewery-tour? XXXX is the local brew here, and according to the many advertising films we saw on the tour, apparently also incredibly popular outside of Queensland. Well, not my taste really, but not bad either. By the way, nobody drinks Foster's here. It's only for export, no pub has it!

Unfortunately, Friday is the day when they maintain and clean all the machines, so we did not see much brewing action.

However, we were treated to FREE BEERS in the end...
